Description
Watercolor painting of an iceberg shaped like a feminine-presenting person. To the left is a poem by KL Deogie, the commissioner of the original painting, which reads:
“I am an iceberg. What you can see is not my entirety. Do not think you know me by just what you think you see. My depth, jagged edges, fractured lines, broken pieces, my raw size and power beneath the calm surface is there. If you don’t take the time to really know what’s hidden from view, don’t blame me for my damage and your wreckage. You have severely underestimated me, so please just pass me by. I am more than what meets the eye for those that know how to look.”
